LIMITED EDITION Shirt Celebrates 100 Years of Service in Hawaii
In celebration of 100 years of dedicated service to the people of Hawai‘i, a special commemorative Aloha shirt has been unveiled—featuring a vibrant and meaningful design that honors the unique spirit of the islands and the legacy of community leadership.
The limited-edition shirt showcases the official flowers of all eight Hawaiian islands along with the iconic Ni‘ihau shell, symbolizing unity across the state. Proudly adorned with the Lions logo, the design represents a century of global service rooted in local tradition.
“The fabric design represents the colors, flowers, and symbols of all the main islands. It beautifully represents all of us.” said Past International Director Bob Lee, member of the Honolulu Chinatown Lions Club. “Wear this Centennial aloha shirt with pride”.
The commemorative shirt was created by renowned artist and designer Scott Harano, a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. Harano’s artistic work spans Hawai‘i, New York, Japan, and beyond. He is known for designing the vibrant Hawaii Kai Lions Club traffic utility box art near Roy’s Restaurant—featuring marine life native to Hawaii Kai – Maunalua Bay area.
Currently, Harano shares his talents as an educator at the University Lab School and teaches watercolor classes at the Honolulu Museum of Art and through community adult education programs.
Demand for the shirt has already reached far beyond island shores. “People around the world ask us, ‘Where did you get that shirt?’” said Past District Governor Gary Nip’s Companion in Service Joyce Nip.
This once-in-a-lifetime shirt is a LIMITED EDITION item and will be available while supplies last.
